Burns changes mind, decides to attend TV debate

SAVANNAH - Republican congressional candidate Max Burns has decided he&#39;ll turn up for a live TV debate after all, even if Democratic rival Charles ``Champ&#39;&#39; Walker Junior doesn&#39;t show. <br> <br> Campaign spokeswoman Anne Forbes had previously said Burns turned down the debate offer from the Atlanta Press Club after learning Walker had declined. Forbes said today Burns had changed his mind. <br> <br> Burns will have to rush from his Savannah fund-raiser with U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert on Sunday afternoon to make the evening debate in Atlanta. Walker&#39;s campaign has said he can&#39;t attend because of a scheduling conflict. <br> <br> Burns and Walker have yet to debate face-to-face in their race for Georgia&#39;s new 12th Congressional District, which sprawls 200 miles from Athens to Augusta to Savannah. <br> <br> Each campaign has accused the other of ducking previously scheduled public forums.
