WILLIAMSBURG - Charles Howell the Third birdied on the 15th hole and beat Brandt Jobe and Scott Hoch by two shots in his first career victory in the final of the Michelob Championship Sunday. The 23-year-old Augusta native finished at for a 67 -- four under par -- and won for the first time in his 68th career start with a 14-under 270 at Kingsmill in Williamsburg, Virginia. Howell's the 14th first-time winner on the PGA Tour this year, tying the record set in 1991.
