Houston County medical examiner James Whitaker says an autopsy showed that Airman First Class Eric Paternoster had a .468 blood-alcohol level, high enough to kill him.
Whitaker said the death was accidental, but the Air Force Office of Special Investigation is continuing to investigate.
County coroner Danny Galpin said the 19-year-old Paternoster had been drinking with friends Wednesday night. A friend found him in his room before 6 a.m. Thursday, alone and not breathing.
Paternoster worked with the 19th Air Refueling Group.
