Bulldogs freshman arrested for passing phony money

STARKVILLE, MISSISSIPPI - Police in Starkville, Mississippi, say tailback Nick Turner of Mississippi State has been charged with possession of counterfeit money. <br> <br> The 18-year-old Turner of Atlanta turned himself in Monday. He was released the same day on $5,000 bond. The charge carries a maximum prison term of 15 years, a fine or both. <br> <br> Turner was led away in handcuffs last Wednesday from Remington&#39;s Hunt Club after owner Bill Norris called the police. Authorities say $500 bills were passed in the club that night. <br> <br> Turner has been questioned by police and U.S. Secret Service agents over the last week. Police say no more arrests are expected in the case. <br> <br> The freshman was one of the Bulldogs&#39; most highly touted signees last February and a former high school all-American. <br> <br> Turner has rushed for 31 yards on eight carries this season and is averaging 11.5 yards on four punt returns. He has missed the last three games with a sprained ankle.
