JESUP - Two men were killed Wednesday night in the fiery crash of a twin-engine plane in Jesup.
Authorities said the plane crashed at about 9:30 p.m. while trying to land at the William A. Zorn Airport on the outskirts of Jesup, which is about 40 miles north of Brunswick in southeast Georgia.
The plane flipped at least once and burst into flames. It was so badly burned that investigators weren't immediately sure what model plane it was. The two men killed have not been identified, although police said they were headed to Florida.
Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration were headed to scene Thursday and planned to release more details.
