LaGRANGE - Two LaGrange teenagers pleaded guilty to killing a cat by throwing it into a ceiling fan, hanging it with an electric cord and hitting it with a metal bar.
Jason Lamar Moore, 18, who was already on probation for auto theft, was sentenced Wednesday to two years in prison and three years probation for aggravated cruelty to animals.
Earlier this week, Aaron Nicholas Buchanan, 18, was sentenced to two years in a work camp after pleading guilty to the same charges.
``We believe Moore started it when he threw the cat into a fan because it had urinated on the carpet,'' Assistant District Attorney Nigel Lush said. ``It appears Buchanan did most of the other things.''
Authorities in LaGrange may also bring animal cruelty charges against whoever killed 11 potbellied pigs and dumped them at a construction site.
The pigs were shot in the back of the head with a .22-caliber weapon, said Troup County marshal Tammy Wood. The pigs were found Wednesday, and it appeared they had been there three or four days.
