GAINESVILLE - The question of stormwater management in Gainesville is about to move "front and center" again with three planned meetings on the issue between now and January 22.
The sessions begin with one at the Gainesville Civic Center Thursday.
It will feature Brant Keller, Director of Public Works and Stormwater Utilities for the city of Griffin.
Griffin was the first community in the state to create a stormwater utility and Keller has become a recognized authority on stormwater issues.
Meetings are also planned on next Tuesday at the Georgia Mountains Center, focusing on Non-Profits, Institutions and Government, and, a week later, on January 22 at the civic center, focusing on residential rates and concerns.
Each will begin at 6 p.m.
The question of stormwater management was discussed on several occasions in different forms last year.
