ATLANTA - An adminstrative law judge plans to resume a hearing Wednesday in an appeal of EPD's permit granting Gwinnett County permission to dump up to 40 million gallosn of treated wastewater each day into Lake Lanier.
One of the major issues is the amount of algae-forming phosphorous allowed by the permit.
Also at issue is the depth and place where the discharge will take place - 20 to 30 feet and near Buford Dam Park and Lanier Park.
Another concern is the potential impact of the discharge on fish and the public health.
