Three Virginia residents killed on I-95 outside Savannah

POOLER - Police say two Virginia men and a woman on their way back from Florida died early Wednesday when the driver apparently fell asleep and hit a tree in Pooler outside Savannah. <br>

Pooler Police Corporal Powell Harrelson says a fourth person survived the single-car accident that happened about 3 a.m. on Interstate 95, about one mile north of Interstate 16. <br>

Harrelson identifies the victims as the driver, 22-year-old Christopher Will of Bentonville, Virginia; and passengers, 21-year-old Coleen Blake of Front Royal, Virginia; and 20-year-old Chad Smelser, also of Bentonville. <br>
<br>
He says Will apparently fell sleep, and the car ran off the road and crashed into a pine tree. <br>
<br>
The survivor, identified as 18-year-old Alycia Sincleair of Bentonville, is listed in stable condition at Memorial Medical University in Savannah. <br>
<br>
Harrelson says the young woman told police the four left Florida about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday after visiting Blake's mother. He says she was not certain which city in Florida they had visited.
