Bribery leads to drug arrest in north Hall

GAINESVILLE - A north Hall couple has been arrested and charged with bribing a deputy.

David James Dorsey, 24, and Candace Dorsey, 36, of Ben Parks Road in Murryville were charged Thursday with attempting to get a deputy to make a previous case against the couple "disappear".

Hall Sheriff's Captain Ed Barfield says the money was exchanged while undercover detectives watched. Warrants were then issued.

Sheriff's Captain Ed Barfield says Sgt. Kenny Lane was paid $10,000. When arrested the Dorsey's also were charged with other drug charges.

Saying when they went to the Dorsey home they attempted to flush marijuana down the toilet.
