Former Georgia Tech great George Morris dies in North Carolina
George Morris, who starred at linebacker during Georgia Tech's perfect season in 1952 and was a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, died today.

The top six teams in this week's men's Associated Press top-25 college basketball poll are the same as in last week's poll. At the top of the list is North Carolina as the Tar Heels received 48 first place votes from the 72-member national media panel.

Michael Puckett scored 15 points to lead Winston-Salem State to a 67-61 victory over Georgia State on Saturday night. Darius Floyd had 14 points and Jamal Durham finished with 11 points for the Rams (2-5), who shot nearly 45 percent in snapping a four-game losing streak.
