Mr. Bill Black, Jr., age 87, of Dahlonega passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020.
Mr. Black was born in Lumpkin County on September 13, 1932 to the late Tate and Bertha Saine Black. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Willie Black, Bud Black, Dude Black, Vernon Black and Maybell Black Gaddis. Mr. Black was the founder of the Murrayville Hardware Store. He regularly attended The River Community Church in Murrayville. Mr. Black was an avid bowler and he loved woodworking and playing pool.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law David and Elaine Black, Murrayville; son Stephen Black, Murrayville; grandchildren Corey Black and Kyle Black; great-grandchild Journey Hope Black; and sisters Anna Bell Justus, and Fannie Bell Satterfield, both of Dahlonega.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. John Rayburn will officiate. No public visitation will be held, but the family requests that online condolences be made at andersonunderwood.com on Mr. Black’s obituary page.
