Daniel C. Morton, Jr

Daniel C. Morton, Jr., age 93 of Stone Mountain, GA, died Thursday, March 19, 2020. Mr. Morton has been cremated and a graveside service will be held Monday, March 23, 2020 at 12 Noon at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. Pastor Danny Newbern will officiate. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Edith Deaton Morton; daughter, Carol Morton; granddaughter, Emily; parents, Daniel C. Morton, Sr. and Laura Morton; brother, John Morton. He is survived by his sons, Daniel C. Morton, III (Mary), Buford, Thomas Morton (Sarah), Sugar Hill; grandchildren, Joseph, Maura, and Tiffany; great grandchildren, Aaron, Cameron, Gianna, and Kinsley. Daniel was born in Starkville, MS, and was a long-time resident of the metro Atlanta area. He was self-employed as an engineer in commercial construction and a Veteran of the United States Army.
