Jerry Lee Grindle

Mr. Jerry Lee Grindle, age 54 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.    

Mr. Grindle was born April 4, 1965 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Winfred Dewey Grindle, Sr. and Syble Turpin Grindle.  He worked for Liberty Utilities until he became disabled and was of the Baptist Faith.  Jerry was a long time member of ABATE and served as an officer of District 2 for a number of years.  He also was a Boy Scout/Cub Scout leader with Troop #605 in Cornelia and Troup #660 in Demorest for several years.  Jerry’s love of life, love, laughter, no matter the circumstances, his family and friends will always carry in our hearts.  “No greater love than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13.”  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Lori Grindle.     

Mr. Grindle is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sherlon “Sherl” Grindle of Gainesville, sister & brother-in-law, Janice & James Gilbert of Clarkesville, brother, Winfred Grindle, Jr. of Gillsville, brother-in-law, David Frank Chambers of Gainesville and a number of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
