Tommy Bruce

Tommy Bruce, age 74, of Gainesville, GA passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Christa Bruce; brothers, Ray Bruce and Billy Bruce; grandparents, Joseph “Jack” and Maggie Bruce and James Wiley and Irene Westbrooks.  Mr. Bruce is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Sarah Ayers Bruce, Gainesville, GA; children, Melissa Ayers, Lula, GA, Tonya Bruce, Gainesville, GA, and Timothy Bruce, Gainesville, GA; two grandchildren, Thomas James Brown and Shawn Lewis Brown; sisters, Runell  Bruce Westbrooks, Maysville, GA and Peggy Bruce Johnson and husband Tommy Johnson, Lawrenceville, GA; brothers, Bobby Bruce, Athens, GA and Mickey Bruce, Buford, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.   Mr. Bruce was born January 30, 1946 in Buford, GA.  He was a retired carpenter from John Cowart Homes, Inc. Mr. Bruce was an avid fisherman and a member of the North Georgia Crappie Anglers Fishing Club.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Mr. Donald “Mickey” Whidby and Rev. Jerimy Johnson officiating.   Family will receive friends at the funeral home on March 14th from 12:00 noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
