Lynn Rae Cruse

Lynn Rae Cruse of Oakwood, Georgia, was called Home on March 5 while in her home being cared for by Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice Care and her husband.

This world lost a beautiful sweet soul who was a wonderful daughter, sister, Mother, niece, cousin, Granddaughter, Grandmother, Friend, Believer, business owner/operator and loving wife.

Lynn was a member of the Buford Church of God, Buford, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lindal Ray Cruse; her maternal grandparents Reverend Arthur and Ellender D’Haillecourt; and her paternal grandparents Earlo Cruse and Mary Davis.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Marty R Hortman, children Kathryn Louise Land and Lindal Lee Wray; her mother, Judith D’ Haillecourt and stepfather, Buddy Hester; grandchildren, Brienne Land, Kaidence White, Cruse Wray and Kesil Wray; brother Bryan Hester and sister Christine Sprouse; step daughter, Erin Hortman and step son, Sam Hortman; step grandchildren, Kate and Liam Kerney and Nolan Hortman.

At Lynn’s special request, her remains will be cremated and her ashes will be sprinkled in the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River in the Northeast Georgia Mountains.

Family, friends and fellow church friends will hold a special memorial service to honor and remember their dear, joyous, funny friend.
