Tracy Gaither

Obituary Date: Tuesday, March 3, 2020
Tracy Bouvard Gaither was born October 17, 1965 to the late Raymond Pope and the late Martha Ann Harrison. He was called home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2020. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Robbie Gaither.
 
Tracy was baptized at an early age at First Baptist Church in Gainesville. He constantly attended vacation bible school every summer at Springfield Baptist Church in Lula. Tracy graduated from Gainesville High School in 1984. After moving to Houston, Texas, he attended Texas Southern University where he studied Accounting and Finance before pursuing his career in Culinary Arts as a Chef. He was the Head Chef at Houston Steakhouse Restaurant located in Houston for 15 years. He also worked part time at Red Lobster. During his return to Gainesville, Tracy became employed at some of Gainesville’s finest restaurants. These restaurants include Texas Roadhouse, Cheddars, Waffle House, Huddle House, Applebee’s, and several catering companies. Tracy had a passion for cooking and cooking on the grill was the real deal. He can be referred to as the “Grill Master”. 
 
He leaves to cherish his memories to his sons, Travon Gaither and Joshua Gaither, both of Gainesville, GA; grandson, Travon Lazo of Gainesville, GA; brothers, Duwan (Ronnie) Gaither, Rico Wiley, Timothy (Latysa) Gaither, Todderick Pittman, and Kelvin Dubose, all of Gainesville, GA; sisters, Keoaka Harrison, Beverly “Rita” Pickens, Janet Dubose, and Lynn (Junior) Tate, all of Gainesville, GA; aunts, Zelma Gaither and Elaine Ellison, both of Gainesville, GA, and Truwandra “Trudy” Gaither of Richmond, TX; uncles, Edward (Debra) Gaither of San Antonio, TX and Michael (Rosalind) Gaither of Richmond, TX; seven nieces; five nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
 
Funeral service will be held Monday March 16, 2020 at 2pm at Dexter T. Sims Mortuary, LLC, in The Rev. Charlie Jr. and Conchita Sims Memorial Chapel. Viewing will be Sunday March 15, 2020 from 2pm-7pm. The family will receive family and friends from 5pm-7pm
