Marion P. Thornton

Mrs. Marion P. Thornton, 72, of Gainesville passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020 at The Oaks at Limestone.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2020 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Jason Thornton will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on June 2, 1947 in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late John and Ida Mae Goss. She was a Hairdresser and a member of the Life Church in Cornelia.

Mrs. Thornton is survived by her husband, David Thornton of Gainesville; sons, Jason Thornton of Demorest, Joshua Thornton of Dawsonville, Jacob Thornton of Gainesville; daughter, Lynn Thornton of Roswell; six sisters, one brother, nine grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
