Michael W. Carroll

Michael W. Carroll, age 79, of Alto, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.

Mr. Carroll was born on January 25, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Stanley J. and Mae Lou Cox Carroll. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie McCormick. He was the last survior of his immediate family. Mr. Carroll was a member of Clarkesville First United Methodist Church, where he was invloved in the Stephen Ministry, was the Lay Litergest Cordinator for five years, taught the Good News Sunday School Class, and served with the Operation Christmas Child program. Mr. Carroll retired from Mountain Resources as the Resourse Specialist. He also served an instructor with Lee Arrendale Prison for two years. Michael was loving husband and a friend to all who knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 16 years, Pam Brooks Carroll, of Alto; adopted grandchildren, Andrew Waite; Brent Allen; and Jessie Colkett.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the Clarkesville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Cox officiating. A Private Inurnment will be held.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2020 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the United Methodist Children's Home, or the charity of one's choice.
