Sara H. Ivey Brewer

Sara H. Ivey Brewer age 94 of Gainesville passed away Tuesday February 25, 2020 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Sara was born July 22, 1925 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Carl Edward & Julia Ann Helton Ivey. She lived all her life in Hall County where she worked at McElveen’s Pharmacy for a number of years. Sara was a member of Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church in Gainesville and was preceded in death by her husband, Linton Cleveland Brewer, Jr.; sisters, Mildred Smith, Joyce Collins; brothers, Owen Ivey, Jerry Ivey, Allen Ivey & Ralph Ivey; sister in law, Bobbie Ivey & Brother in law, Jim Collins.

Survivors include daughter & son in law, Diane & Tommy Tyner of Gainesville; grandchildren, Todd Tyner of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida & Kim Tyner (Robert) Crumley of Gainesville; great grandchildren, Wesli Tyner, Ashley Tyner & Devin Tyner; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Jim Ivey of Dawsonville, David (Annie) Ivey of Gainesville, Roy (Geneva) Ivey of Augusta, Jeff (Barbara) Ivey of Braselton; brothers in law, Pat Smith of Toccoa; sister in law, Patricia Ivey of Gillsville; a number of nieces & nephews also survive. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday Feb. 28, 2020 at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darryl Womack & Rev. Jack Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday Feb. 27, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.at the funeral home.
