James Michael "Mike" Buffington

James Michael “Mike” Buffington passed away February 22, 2020 at home following a brief illness.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Lincoln Monroe Buffington. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Ann Buffington; brother, Charles Monroe Buffington (Martia) and sister, Debbie Wilson (Niles) and other family members and friends.

Mike was born September 25, 1960 in Hall County Georgia to Lincoln Monroe and Barbara Ann Moore Buffington.  Mike was a longtime member of Redwine United Methodist Church; he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, lawn mower repair, and caring for his pets, most recently his cat.  He will be remembered fondly for his big heart and missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers a donation in memory of Mike Buffington can be made to Redwine United Methodist Church, 3285 Poplar Springs Rd, Gainesville, GA 30507.
