Lucille Wade Brown Armour

Lucille Wade Brown Armour, age 91, of Alto, Georgia passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020.

 Mrs. Armour was born on April 26, 1928 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Rever and Mabell Thompson Wade. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Delmus Shockley, and Ben Brown; brothers, Eferd Wade; Loyd Wade; Buford Wade; and Arthur Wade. Mrs. Armour was a member of Pine Grove Holiness Church. She worked for Mount Vernon Mills with 20 years of service and also worked for Piedmont Cleaners with 30 years of service. Ms. Lucille was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother.

 Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Margaret Shockley, of Alto; sisters, Estelle Brewer, of Alto; Evelyn Hansford, of Alto; grandsons, Marc Shockley and Kim, Michael Shockley, Matthew Shockley and Katie; and nine great-grandchildren.

 Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2020 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Jacob Armour officiating. Interment will follow in the Holland Family Cemetery.

 The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the funeral home.
