Joy Brooks

Joy Brooks 51, of Buford, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Joy is preceded in death by her parents; Eldridge and Wansley Hughes, and her sister; Melanie Allen.

Joy is survived by her loving husband Johnny Brooks of Buford, Georgia. Daughter and son in law; Jessica (Timothy) Samples of Cumming, Georgia. Sister; Elaine (Bob) Culp of Ozark, Alabama. Brothers; Larry Hughes of Abbeville, Alabama; Jason Hughes of Abbeville, Alabama; and Jimmy Hughes of Cumming, Georgia. Joy also leaves behind her granddaughter; Ansley Samples.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 3:00pm – 7:00pm and on Monday, February 17, 2020 from 11:00am – 12:00pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home at 12:00pm on Monday, February 17, 2020.

Interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Hwy 372 East in Ballground, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
