Mr. Herman Ross Wilson, 84, of Gainesville passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 10, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born on November 6, 1935 in Winder, GA he was the son of the late Herman and Gladys Bennett Wilson. He was retired from General Motors where he worked for 35 years. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and served as Youth Director for several years.
In addition to his parents. Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his sisters, Essie Fincher, Jetty Emmett; grandson, Matthew Wilson; brothers, Gelmer Wilson and Larry Wilson.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sue Wilson of Gainesville; sons, Stanley Wilson of GA, Britt Wilson of Gainesville; daughters and sons in law, Paula and Jimmy Hogan of Cleveland, Patti and Scott Clark of Lawrenceville, Lavonda and Bobby Murphy of Flowery Branch; son and daughter in law, Tony and Mary Evans of Flowery Branch; daughter, Joy Gunter of Gainesville; grandson, Paul Wilson of FL; granddaughters, Heather Sebelius of Gainesville, Alexis Clark of Lawrenceville, Hannah Wilson of Gainesville; great grandson, Jeremiah Sebelius of Lawrenceville; brothers, Floyd Wilson (Addie) of Gainesville, Billy Wilson (Vicki) of Commerce, Harry Wilson (Judy) of Gainesville and a number of other relatives.
