Jane Sweatman Padgett, 66, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday February 9, 2020 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born May 5, 1953 in Forsyth County to the late Robert and Lillie Dockery, she had lived in Dawson County since 1993. Along with her husband, she owned and operated J&R Cleaning. Jane was very devoted to her family and enjoyed fishing and camping. She was of the Baptist faith and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Roy Dockery and Cicero Dockery.
Surviving are her husband, Rodney Padgett, Dawsonville; children, Jamie Sweatman, Dawsonville, Kristi Wilkinson, Jasper, Matt Padgett, Ellijay, Mary Hogan, Canton, Blake York, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Malory, John, Dale, Daniel, Dustin, Casey, Makayla, Gracie; great granddaughters, Kali, Ember; sisters, Lorene Lord, Dahlonega, Mary Lou Brannon, Cumming; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 11, 2020 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Michael James Pirkle and Rev. Chris Boling will officiate. Interment will follow in the Tinsley Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
