Betty Jo Houghton

Mrs. Betty Jo Houghton, age 89 of Sautee-Nacoochee, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. 

Private Family Graveside services will be held at a later date. 

Mrs. Houghton was born May 13, 1930 in Shannon, Georgia to the late William Robert Stephens and Mincie Dora Moon Stephens.  She was retired from BellSouth and was of the Baptist Faith.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene Houghton and her brothers, Charles William Stephens and Tony Alan Stephens.   

Mrs. Houghton is survived by her siblings, Cindy (Larry) Reno of Fayetteville, Georgia, Robert H. (Jean) Stephens of Alto, Georgia and Dean Stephens of Stockbridge, Georgia, a number of nieces and nephews, Kelly Rodgers, Clint Reynolds, Cheryl (Tim) Clever, Patrick Stephens, Kristi (Vince) Pinson, Larry Stephens, Tammy Bell, Kim Stephens, and sister-in-law, Lina Stephens of Hampton, Georgia.
