Helen Naomi White

Helen Naomi White, 81, of Gainesville passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Taylorsville, MS. Rev. Christopher Moore will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church before the service. Mrs. White will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Born on June 8, 1938 in Taylorsville, MS she was the daughter of the late Joe Nathan and Lena Hatten. She was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. White is survived by her daughter, Jessica White of Gainesville; sons, Michael White of San Diego, CA, Christ White of Braselton; brothers, Charles Hatten, Ben Hatten, Chester Hatten all of MS; sister, Etheleen Gentry of MS; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives.
