Elizabeth “Fidge” Moore Gilstrap

Elizabeth “Fidge” Moore Gilstrap age 86 of Clermont entered Heaven Friday January 31, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Gilstrap was born November 14, 1933 in Homer, GA to the late Felton C. & Floyce Griffin Wade. She was known all around by her nickname “Fidge”. She retired after 42 years with the Hall County Environmental Services. She was a member of the Homer Presbyterian Church but had attended Trinity Presbyterian Church in Gainesville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Gilstrap.

Survivors include daughter & son in law, Nan & Louis McDowell, daughter, Kay Moore, step daughter & husband, Gail & Bobby Barnes, step son & wife, Lynn & Peggy Gilstrap, sister, Nannie McCoy, grandchildren, Kinsey McDowell & Torrey McDowell, step grandchildren, Kim, Chad, Chris, Sherry, Anna, Brent & Laura, 14 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday Feb. 3, 2020 at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brent Gilstrap officiating. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Homer Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Homer. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. Until 6:00 P.M. Sunday Feb. 2, 2020 at the funeral home.
