Richard Swafford

Mr. Richard Swafford age 85 of Gainesville, Ga passed away on Wednesday January 22, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

          Graveside services are scheduled for Sunday January 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Bobby Griffin and Reverend Wayne Hicks will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday January 26, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

          Richard was born on March 05, 1934 in Murrayville, Ga to the late Dennis Swafford and Nola Hulsey Swafford. Richard worked for Reliance Electric where he was a shipping manger and was a member of New Haven C.H. Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Geraldine Thomas Swafford, daughter, Robin Totherow and son, Rick Swafford, and his sister, Sandra Roberts.

          Mr. Swafford is survived by grandchildren, Daniel Swafford of Gainesville, Jesse Swafford of Hayesville, North Carolina, Charlie Swafford of Hayesville, North Carolina, Chris Thomas, 6 great grandchildren, and brother, Roger Swafford.
