Verdell Woodall

Verdell Nix Woodall, age 82, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020.

Mrs. Woodall was born on September 19, 1937 to the late Frances and Ray Nix.  She was retired from the State of Georgia and a member of Mt. Yonah Baptist Church.  Verdell was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and WMU at her church.

In addition to her parents, Verdell was preceded in death by husband, Allen Rogers Woodall; and sister and brother-in-law, Ray Ann and H.E. (Ed) Reed.

Survivors include her children, Connie and Rick Blackburn, Allen Rogers, Jr. and Debbie Woodall, and Luann and Patrick Grove; grandchildren, Shane and Jacque Blackburn, Dustin Allen Rogers Woodall III, and Brian David King; great-grandchildren, Jackson Cole Blackburn, Madison Grace Blackburn, Luke Avery Blackburn, Tyler Lindliff, and Cole Lindliff; sisters, Bonnell Cox and Geneva Carroll; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Thomas Kanady, Sandra and Ervin McAfee, and Judy and Greg Lawson; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Brenda Vandiver, Mary Moody, Pauline Kinnear, and many more.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 26, 2020 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  The Rev. Steve Fenlon and the Rev. Stacey Dyer will officiate.  Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the funeral home.
