Dahlonega Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Daniel Kenneth Haas, age 61 of Dahlonega, Georgia. March 7, 1958 - January 20, 2020
He is the son of Sheldon and Anne Haas. He is preceded in death by his loving grandparents Kenneth and Madelyn Iloff; Aunts Janet Jennings and Joy Iloff; Cousins Donna, Debra, and Michael Jennings; Loving ex wife Teressa Haas and baby daughter Krystl Haas; Brother Wayne Haas; Father Sheldon Haas.
He is survived by mother and step father Anne and David Sears; Sister, Lu-Anne (Michael) Rehmer; Brother, Eric (Cynthia) Haas; Sons, Kenneth (Daphne) Haas and Christopher (Anita) Haas; Granddaughter, Nevaeh Haas; Step grandchildren, Cody, Cambree, Stephan, and Josh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
After highschool, Daniel joined the Marine Corp, completing his basic training at Parris Island and then being stationed in Quantico, VA. Daniel was his mother's right hand man. He fulfilled everyone's wishes and there was nothing that he could not do or fix. While in highschool, he worked in the nursing home as an Orderly. Everyone there loved seeing him come in everyday. As a child, he had a best friend that was a deafmute. He was always able to communicate with him and they had such a good time playing. After being honorably discharged from the military, Daniel received an education in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and worked as a salesman for many years.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 4:00 in the Chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home with Rev. Geherdt Michael officiating. A visitation will be held at Dahlonega Funeral Home from 2:00 - 4:00 prior to the service. In Lieu of Flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Kindred Hospice.
