Wilma Sherman Poole

Wilma Sherman Poole, age 79, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Sherman; parents, Hubert Lott and Arah Riley Lott; brothers, Monroe Lott, Edward Lott and Leon Lott; and step daughter, Tracy Parks. She is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, Leonard Poole, Buford, GA; children, Paul and Kelly Sherman, Buford, GA, Cassandra Grider, Buford, GA, Dennis Sherman, Buford, GA and Bobby Sherman, Buford, GA; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lauzella Lott, Jackie and James Smith, Elizabeth and Chester Whitner and Patrice Reader; brothers and sister-in-law, Donnie Lott, Obadiah Lott and Leroy and Alma Harper; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Poole was born August 17, 1940 in Braselton, GA. She was retired from Buford General Hospital in Buford, GA after fifteen years of service. She was also a paraprofessional teacher with Gwinnett Public Schools, Head Start Program. She was a member of Greater Mission Church in Buford, GA where she was a church administrator with the church’s food ministry. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Elder John Haynes officiating. Interment will follow in Buford, GA. The wake will be Friday evening, January 24^th from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
