Harold Monroe "Deano" Benefield

Harold Monroe "Deano" Benefield, 76 of  Chestnut Mountain  passed away Saturday January 18, 2020.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Benefield was the son of the late O.R. and Grace Kennedy Benefield.  He was a graduate of South Hall High School Class of 1961, went on the graduate from the University of Georgia Class of 1968.   He was a owner/partner of B & B Egg Company for over 35 years with his brother Bobby and lifelong friend Walter Byrd.   Mr. Benefield was a member of Chestnut Mountain Baptist Church and the Jesus Now Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Jeanette Turk Benefield; daughter, Becky Vinson; grandchildren, Peyton Vinson and Katelyn Vinson; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Mary Benefield; sister-in-law, Linda Turk; nephews, Jeff Benefield (Tamara); Jeff Turk (Shauna); Ken Turk (Tracie);  great nieces and great nephews, Alli Curry, Ansley Wilson, A.J. Benefield, Sydney Turk, Adam Benefield, Jacob Turk, Caroline Turk, Tatum Turk, all of Chestnut Mountain.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday January 21, 2020 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. Jeff Benefield and Rev. Brian Hall will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Chestnut Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday January 20 from 2-4 p.m. and again 6-8 p.m.
