John Wesley Nation, age 82, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. John was born in 1937, to the late Andrew and Bessie Nation. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed gardening. He attended West Buford Baptist Church. John was a proud United States Navy veteran. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Nation; son, John Wayne Nation; and 9 siblings.
He is Survived by his children, Alesia (Lamar) Howington of Commerce, John W. Nation, Jr. of Dawsonville, William Scott (Heather) Nation of Huntsville, AL, Katie (Jerry) Smith of Dawsonville, and Rebecca Nation of Freeport, Fl.; sister, Brenda Scogins of Danilesville; grandchildren, Lauren Nation, Kayla Howington, Kyle Howington, Skylar Fields and Ethan Wesley Fields; and great grandchild, Evan Sailors; along with many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Nation will be held Friday, January 17, 2020 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA with Rev. Ricky Byrd officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Howington Cemetery in Nicholson, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
