Judy Ann Towe

Mrs. Judy Ann Towe, 71, of Hoschton, GA passed away Monday January 13, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA. She was surrounded by family and friends.

Mrs. Towe was born November 2, 1948 in Ellijay, GA. She attended Parker High School in Greenville, SC. She was a long-term employee of Northeast Georgia Medical Center before retiring to enjoy time with her husband. She was strong in the Christian faith and attended Free Chapel Church in Gainesville, GA. As the eldest of her siblings, she was the matriarch of her family and worked tirelessly to keep her family happy, safe, and informed. A true southern belle with a warm heart, she was generous and kind to all around her. She truly never met a stranger. Her biggest passion in life was watching her grandson in theater and helping her daughter make costumes for his performances.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Imogene Davenport Dover and Joe B. Dover; her former husband /friend, Paul C. Hatcher; and her precious grandniece, Hope Merryn Dover.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Bill Towe of Hoschton, GA ; her daughter and son-in-law , Kawanna and Roy Martin of Braselton, GA; her grandson, Seth Martin of Braselton, GA; her sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Lee Aycock of Raleigh, NC; her brothers and sisters-in-law , Vickie and Billy Dover of Lula, GA; Glenda and Mack Dover of Lula, GA , Wanda and Mitch Dover of Lula, GA , Sharon and Joseph Dover of Gainesville, GA; her half-brother, Joe B. Dover Jr. of Canton, GA; her half-sister Jane Smith of Canton, GA; her step-children Rebecca Martin of Suwanee, GA, Travis Towe of Atlanta, GA, and Renee Selman of Los Angeles, CA; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Judy Lancaster of Marietta, GA, Tuesday Priester of Flowery Branch, GA, Bj Tjepkema of Gainesville, GA, Barbara and Ken Howard of Greer, SC, and Connie Hinkle of Auburn, GA.

Services will be held at Memorial Park Chapel in Gainesville, GA on Thursday January 16 at 2pm. Her brother Joseph Dover will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday January 15, from 5pm-8pm and again on Thursday January 16 from 10am-1pm.
