James Lester Lint, Sr. died after an extended illness in his home on January 3, 2020, at the age of 71.
James is survived by his children James Lester Lint, Jr. and his spouse, Gayle, and children, Jace and Weber, Kelleigh; Jean Strickland and her spouse, Christopher, and children, Emmaleigh and Maggie; and Sandra Lint Hulsey and her spouse, Cale. James extended family includes his sisters, Shirley Meeks Robinson, Gloria Lint Moses and Carol Lint Price; and his brothers, Gary and Wayne Meeks. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Lint; mother, Betty Lint Meeks; step-father, Roy Meeks; and brother, Tony Meeks.
James was born on August 16, 1948 in Massolin, Ohio. He graduated from South Hall High School in Oakwood, GA in 1966. James was a lifetime resident of Hall County and Gainesville, GA. He began his career as a lineman for Southern Bell and then went on to found the company Lint Security which is still in operation to this day. James was married to the late Jean Green of Murrayville, GA. The couple had three children, James, Jr. Kelleigh, and Sandra. James was known as a hard worker, avid golfer, and his love for aviation. James’s children remember him as a loving father who always encouraged them to do their best.
The family will receive visitors, Sunday January 12th, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Hillside Chapel on 1190 McEver Road, Gainesville, GA. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Rev. Geoffrey Grubs and Rev. Tyler Flowers will officiate the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate James Lester Lint, Sr.'s life.
