Lillian Hurd

Lillian Worley Hurd, age 92, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away Monday, January 6, 2020. She was preceded in death by her sons, Donald “Zach” Hurd and Philip D. Hurd. Mrs. Hurd is survived by her daughter, Susan Hurd Massey and husband Michael Massey of Flowery Brach, GA; four grandchildren, Justin Hurd, Denise and Bill Franklin, Kelly and Lee Cowart and Kimberly and Rusty Martin; nine great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Gaither of Franklin, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mrs. Hurd was born December 3, 1927 in Franklin, GA.  She graduated from Centralhatchee High School.  Mrs. Hurd had worked for the Department of Interior Federal Government in Atlanta, GA.  She was a member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church where she often attended Bible study and a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy.  Mrs. Hurd was a former realtor with Northside Realty Company.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will received friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 11th from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 743 Spring Street, Gainesville, GA 30501 in memory of Lillian Worley Hurd.
