Mrs. Mable Pressley Stancil, age 88 of Toccoa passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020 at her residence.
A daughter of the late James Butler and Ollie Mae Brown Pressley, she was born November 4, 1931 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was retired from Russell Tax Service and was a member of Mullins Ford Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Stancil in 2011.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Greg Morgan of Eastanollee and Janet and Ken Dye of Martin; four grandchildren, Cruize and Amber Stancil, Grant Dye, Carlie Joe and Brandon Brooks and Cassie Greg Morgan; two great-grandchildren, Josie Bella Stancil and Denver Stancil; sister, Mildred Simmons of Toccoa; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Durden of Toccoa. A special thanks to her caregivers, Sadie Metcalf, Bridgett Merritt and Sherry Pruitt and to her hospice workers.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 9, 2020, 2 O’clock p.m. at the Mullins Ford Baptist Church with The Reverend Dr. Tommy Childress and The Reverend Dr. Tim Miller officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Cruize Stancil, Grant Dye, James Simmons, Kevin Haynie, Will Cordell and Terry Metcalf.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 11 O’clock a.m. until time to leave for the service.
Interment will follow in the Mullins Ford Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Mable Pressley Stancil.
