Mr. James David Ivy, age 79, of Clermont, GA died Sunday, January 5, 2020. Mr. Ivy was born in Chamblee to the late Paul Kirk and Ola Martin Ivy. He was a member of Winters Chapel United Methodist Church, Atlanta, a veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired teacher at Parkview High School.
Mr. Ivy is survived by his wife, Sara J. Elrod Ivy of Clermont; daughters, Debby Henning of Monroe, Tonya Bourassa of Orlando, FL, Dedra West of Cleveland and Donna Vickers of Homer; sons, Lane Ivy of AL and Ben Bridges, Jr. of Cleveland; sisters, Frances Ware of Hickory, NC and Louise Womack of Kennesaw; brothers, Larry Ivy of Dawsonville and Franklin Ivy of Conyers; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Wednesday, January 8 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Bourassa officiating. Interment will follow in Winters Chapel United Methodist Church, Atlanta. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM.
