Bonnie Sue Cofield Elrod

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Ms. Bonnie Sue Cofield Elrod, age 73 of Commerce, Georgia who entered into rest Friday, January 3, 2020.  Ms. Elrod was born in Pendergrass, Georgia, a daughter of the late Will and Ethel Sealey Cofield, was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church and was retired from Baker & Taylor.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Elrod is preceded by a sister, Mary Stockton, brothers; Hoyt, Sidney, Shorty and Bill Cofield.

Survivors include a son, Michael Elrod and his fiance’ Katherine Goldsberry of Kennesaw, Georgia.  Children; Heidi Williamson of Los Angeles, and Hollye Williamson of Warner Robbins.  Sisters; Linda Cofield of Commerce, Aggie Prickett and her husband Lester of Thomasville, Nellie Watkins of Villa Rica and Brenda Langford and her husband Gary of Bremen, Jennie Stockton of Braselton, Debbie Stewart of Jefferson, Jennie Stockton of Braselton brother, Randy Ragan and his wife Karen of Maysville.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 6, 2020 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Michael Elrod and Reverend Richie Lewis officiating with burial to follow in the Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Randy Ragan, Johnathan William, Mark Sylvain, Jeremiah Stockton, Phillip Cofield and Richie Elliott.  Honorary pallbearers are Brayden Sylvain and Katie Sylvain.  The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:30 P.M. Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the funeral home.
