Martha Lawson

Mrs. Martha Jolee Henderson Lawson, age 96 of Currahee Ridge Road, Toccoa passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.

A daughter of the late D.A. and Maude L. Brown Henderson, she was born August 18, 1923 in Habersham County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She worked in the family business, Liquid Glaze for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Toccoa Cotillion Club. She enjoyed playing Bridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Lawson and by a son, Ronnie Lawson.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Ronnie Roberts of Toccoa; two grandchildren, Jamie and Ronda Roberts and Chris and Quintina Roberts; four grandchildren, R.J., Ava, Rhett and Vivian; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 4, 2020, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Brent White officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jamie Roberts, Chris Roberts, Stan Roberts, Reeder Baskins, Billy Lawson and R.J. Roberts.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the service time.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Martha Jolee Henderson Lawson.
