Bobby James Patterson

Bobby James Patterson, 82, of Cumming passed away peacefully at his home Christmas morning.  Mr. Patterson was born December 16, 1937 in Dawson County.  He dropped out of high school to join the U.S. Navy. Mr. Patterson joined the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 72 where he became well known and respected as a HVAC mechanic. In 1996 he married the love of his life, Ann, spending the best years of his life.  A well-known member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church, Mr. Patterson loved to talk and was always generous to his family and friends.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Deanna Patterson; stepdaughter, Carol Denise Zappia; stepson, Paul Douglas Dunagan; granddaughter, Olivia Grace Patterson; step-grandchildren, Brian Morrow, Nathan Morrow, Kim Bentley, Daniel Dunagan, Derek Dunagan, Devin Ransom; several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 6, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Biddy officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
