John David Propes

Mr. John David Propes, age 60, of Talmo passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Mike Taylor will officiate with Rev. Jim Austin officiating at the gravesite.  The family will receive friends 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2019 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Propes was born April 10, 1959 to John B. & Barbara Whiting Propes in Gainesville.  A Veteran of the United States Air Force, he was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church and a Corrections Officer with Hall County Corrections.

Mr. Propes is survived by his wife, Carrie Propes of Talmo; sons & daughters-in-law, John Derrick & Nicole Propes of Buford, Brandon & Ashley Propes of Gainesville and Casey & Allison Propes of Jefferson; grandchildren, Lily Grace Propes, Wesley Propes, Taelynn Propes and Paisley Propes; parents, John & Barbara Propes of Flowery Branch; sister & brother-in-law, Barbara & J.T. Pirkle of Flowery Branch; and several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother, William Darryl Propes.
