James Brooke Blake, Jr., age 82 of Roswell, Georgia passed peacefully on December 11th,2019 after a long battle of Dementia and congestive heart failure. Brooke was born to parents James and Pauline Blake in Baltimore, Maryland on October 25th, 1937. He was a graduate of Calvert Hall and University of Baltimore. Once he completed Law School, he joined the FBI where he served for seven years. He worked as a Director of Security for Trust Company bank for many years and then retired. In his retirement he continued to be involved with bank security, law enforcement and Ex- FBI agent affiliations. He enjoyed serving Meals on Wheels and feeding the troops at the USO. He is preceded in death by his wife Ann Blake, son Jim Blake, son in law Michael Keehan and parents James and Pauline Blake. He is survived by wife Linda Blakeney Blake, daughter Beth Ansley and son in law Brad Ansley, daughter Jeannie Keehan, daughter Amy Morrissey and son in law Pete Morrissey, son Brent Blake and daughter in law Becca Blake, daughter in law Dawn Blake, step son Michael Blakeney and step daughter Mamie Kerr. He loved spending time with his eleven grandchildren Brooke Blake IV, Kristen Stephenson (husband Will), Bradford Ansley (wife Michele), Blake, Benjamin, and Bridget Ansley, Brian Keehan (wife Jane), Stephen Keehan, Stephen and Jack Morrissey and Liam Blake. Two great grandchildren Michael and Khloe’ Keehan. He is also survived by brothers David, Jack and Ray Blake and sister Ree Reinenger. He has many nieces and nephews that he adored. One of Brooke’s greatest joys was spending time with family, friends and sometimes complete strangers. At Thanksgiving our family would often set an extra place because we never knew who Dad would invite. Most who knew him loved him for his fun- loving antics. A Celebration of a Life Well lived will be held Friday January 3rd, 2020 at 10:30 am at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Roswell, GA. Visitation at McDonald’s Funeral Home in Cumming, GA.
