Geneva Harris Spencer

Mrs. Geneva Harris Spencer, age 77, of Dahlonega passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. James Kanady will officiate.  The family will receive friends 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Spencer was born January 30, 1942 to the late James J. & Lillie Mae Harris in Gainesville.  A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, she was the caretaker of everyone and a member of Bethel Tabernacle Church of God of Prophecy. 

Mrs. Spencer is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Randall & Trayla Thomason of Dahlonega; daughter & son-in-law, Beverly & David Ashe of Dahlonega; daughter-in-law, Francisca Thomason; grandchildren, Jason, Ashley, Tasha, Brittany, Tiffany, Chris and Richard; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Russell & Kathy Harris of Gainesville, Cecil & Dianne Harris of Pendergrass, Larry Harris of Gainesville, Grady & Connie Harris of Flowery Branch, Denver & Kim Harris of Flowery Branch; Paula & Roger Jones of Flowery Branch and Jaime Wade of Gainesville; and several nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.D. Thomason; second husband, L.G. Spencer; sons, Kenneth Thomason and Michael Thomason; daughter, Janice Forrester; and sister, Rosie Mae Rider.

The family would like to thank the Hospice of Northeast Georgia for all the care and support given to Mrs. Spencer and the family.
