Magdaline Caudell

Mrs. Magdaline Maines Carroll Caudell, age 97, widow of Emory Caudell, died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at her home. Her firs husband, Raymond Carroll, lost his life in the Korean War. She was born July 8, 1922, in Toccoa, Georgia, where she lived most of her life. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She graduated from Toccoa High School in 1939 and attended Toccoa Falls College. She retired from Coats & Clark personnel department after 35 years with the company; she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Raymona Carroll Harbert, of Toccoa, GA, two granddaughters Laura Bently (Bryan) of Cedartown, GA and Leslie Leverett (Craig) of Toccoa, GA, three great-grandchildren, the joys of her life, Breanna, Logan, and Elizabeth Leverett, She is also survived by step-daughter, Ann Wilson of Easley, SC, two step-sons Frank Caudell (Jeanette) and Bobby Caudell (Kim) of Commerce, GA, she is survived by ten step-grandchildren and fifteen step great-grandchildren, a niece Karen Maines of Gilbert, SC and a special cousin, Connie Vaughn of Carnesville, GA

Funeral services will be held in the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday, December 23, 2019, at 3:00 PM with the Reverend Michael Staley officiating. The following will serve as pallbearers: Logan Leverett, Craig Leverett, Bryan Bentley, Michael Simmons, Paul Caudell and Kip Vaughn.

Flowers are optional: Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of one’s choice.

Interment will be in the Toccoa City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Magdaline Maines Carroll Caudell.
