Jobie T. Roberts

Jobie T. Roberts age 86 of Gillsville passed away Saturday Dec. 21, 2019 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Jobie was born August 28, 1933 in Lavonia to the late Billie & Donnie Ervin Roberts. He served his Country in the United States Army and was retired from AT&T. Jobie loved to fix things, including cars. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Pepper Roberts, daughters, Patricia Collins & Dianne Autry, brothers, William Mack Roberts, Dewey Maylon Roberts & Henry Hope Roberts.

Survivors include, son, Scotty Roberts of Gillsville; sons in law, Crandall Autry of Gainesville & Curtis Collins of Oakwood; brothers, C.B. Roberts, Frankie (Glenda) Roberts & Arthur (Mary Ann) Roberts all of Gainesville; sisters, Glenda Sue Davidson of Gainesville & Quennola (Rev. Swayne) Carlan of Maysville; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren & a number of nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday December 23, 2019 at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Dale officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery beside his wife with Dr. Kent Barrett officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday December 22, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
