Michael F. Griffin, II

Mr. Michael F. Griffin, II, age 65, of Gainesville passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. 6439 Spout Springs Rd, Flowery Branch, GA 30542.  Father Eric Hill will officiate.

Mr. Griffin was born October 4, 1954 to Michael Francis Griffin & Nancy DeAngelo Griffin in Laredo, Texas.  He was affectionately known as Mickey as he grew up in Pittsburgh, PA where he attended South Catholic for high school and then on to Duquesne University. He started his career with Westinghouse (WABCO) which eventually took him to Greenville, SC and Roanoke, VA. He loved golfing and tinkering with his train sets.  His admiration for his family and grandchildren were beyond reproach.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his children, Jennifer Griffin Kidder of Roanoke, Virginia, Maggie Ann Griffin of Roanoke, Virginia, Michael F. Griffin, III of Miami, Florida and Erin Rose Griffin of Arlington, Virginia; 7 grandchildren, Straton Kidder, Stella Kidder, Saban Kidder, Sydni Kidder, Delia Griffin, Max Griffin, and Lavender Griffin; parents, Michael & Nancy Griffin of Flowery Branch; siblings, Laura Griffin Kasperzak and Richard J. Griffin; and 10 nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Scarlett Kidder.
