Thomas Madison Anthony

Thomas Madison Anthony, age 74, of Gainesville, GA moved peacefully to his eternal home Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

He was born December 20, 1944 in Albany, GA, and raised in Shellman, GA. He graduated from the University of GA in 1967 with a Bachelor Degree in Economics, worked in the brokerage business for most of his career starting with A G Edwards and later started Anthony Investments, and served his country in the United States Air Force from 1967 until 1971. Thomas was a member of First Baptist Church of Gainesville, and had a special love for his family and all of God's creatures.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Dickerson and Melva Faust Anthony.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nada Manly Anthony; son, Hobie Anthony of Portland Oregon; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Whitney Anthony of Gainesville; daughter, Amanda Alford of Atlanta; granddaughters, Georgia and Winnie Alford of Atlanta; grandson, Sawyer Anthony of Gainesville; and brother, Dick Anthony of Roswell.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA.

Rev. Doug Saxton will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service until 4:00 PM.
