Maria Guadalupe Almaraz-Ruiz

Maria Guadalupe Almaraz-Ruiz, age 49 of Oakwood, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a prolonged illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. John Paul II Catholic Church with the mass following at 12:00 noon.  Father Hernan will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 2 – 7 pm at the funeral home.        

Maria was born November 13, 1970 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Reyes Almaraz-Bautista and Margarita Ruiz.  She was a retired restaurant owner and caterer. Maria was preceded in death by her father, Reyes Almaraz-Bautista and was of the Catholic Faith.

Maria is survived by her mother, Margarita Ruiz of Gainesville, her husband, Eustacio A. Barrera-Solano of Oakwood, her 3 daughters, Cinthia Barrera Lopez, Yecenia Barrera and Lupita Barrera, all of Oakwood.  Also surviving are her 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
